Product Description: Type P Shower Cartridge

This shower cartridge is suitable for Delta's multi-choice universal Tub/Shower valve body (replacement for Delta rough-in R10000, R1100, R1800, R2200, etc.). It features a safety design with a pressure balance to keep the water temperature within a safe range of ±3.6°F (±2°C), protecting users from sudden changes in hot or cold water pressure for a pleasant shower experience.

Warm Tips: The cartridge is suitable for single-handle pressure cartridge applications. Please note that it is not applicable for 1300/1400 series tub showers.

No additional tools are required for installation - simply clean the cartridge area in the fixture and ensure the new cartridge is seated all the way in the slot.

Installation Instructions: 1. Shut off the water supply to the tub/shower. 2. Remove the knob center cap. 3. Unscrew and remove the knob. 4. Slide off the outside sleeve. 5. Remove the brass bonnet (try by hand first, or gently use channel-lock pliers). 6. Remove the old cartridge. 7. Check for and clean any deposits or debris inside the pipe. 8. Insert the new cartridge. 9. Thread and tighten the brass bonnet. 10. If the backing plate was removed, clean the old caulk and clean all parts. 11. Slide the outer sleeve back on. 12. Replace the backing plate and screw it in place. 13. Replace the knob and screw it in place. 14. Replace the center cap.

Warm Tips: There is a small gear inside the cartridge that allows for temperature adjustment. If the water is not hot enough, you can pull and turn the gear to adjust - left side is colder, right side is hotter.
